The Rex is an apartment development located in Sydney’s Potts Point. Originally a hotel, the building was converted into apartments in 2002. Mathieson was commissioned to re-design the Macleay Street Lobby in 2012.

 

The new design incorporates light washed, sandblasted limestone walls with an existing rich terracotta coloured terrazzo floor. A parchment coloured leather bench seat and a six-metre long stone concierge desk with a bronze desk lamp furnish the lobby.
