Last month, Mathieson Architects was delighted to host the VIP Sydney Launch of Melbourne Art Fair with a sunset gathering on Middle Harbour. The magical light across the water provided a perfect backdrop for an evening that brought together leading voices from Sydney’s contemporary art community.

 

The event offered an opportunity to acknowledge the Fair’s upcoming return and to celebrate the breadth of creative practice it continues to champion across the region. As the harbour shifted from gold to twilight, conversations flowed between artists, collectors, gallerists and cultural collaborators—each contributing to the rich dialogue that defines Australia’s art landscape.

 

For Mathieson, it was a privilege to support Melbourne Art Fair in this way, and to share a moment with the creative community that has long inspired our work. We look forward to the Fair’s next edition from 19-22 Feburary 2026.
